Newcastle vs Manchester City – Live Tonight at 9pm

All eyes are on St James’ Park tonight as Newcastle United host Manchester City in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Newcastle are bidding to defend the trophy they lifted last season, after ending their 70-year wait for major silverware – and they arrive in strong home form. Eddie Howe’s side are unbeaten in their last 13 matches at St James’ Park and have already beaten City twice in recent League Cup meetings. With the second leg coming up at the Etihad, the Magpies will be desperate to take a lead into February.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are enjoying a strong run of results but will be keen to improve their recent record in this competition. Pep Guardiola’s side have not lifted the Carabao Cup since 2021 and will want a positive away result tonight to put themselves in control of the tie.
