CITY TO FACE REAL MADRID IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ROUND OF 16

City will play Real Madrid in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

The ties will be played on the 10/11 and 17/18 March, with City to host the second leg after finishing in the top eight of the league phase.

Including that tie, we’ve played them in each of the last five seasons and six of the last seven.

Overall, we’ve won five and lost five of the 15 total meetings, scoring 26 goals and conceding 25.

Real Madrid finished ninth in the league phase and beat Benfica 3-1 on aggregate in the play-off round to reach this stage.

We qualified for the Round of 16 directly, owing to our eighth-place finish in the league phase with 16 points from eight matches.
